About the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership, LWDP
The quality of care in Lancashire for vulnerable people is at the heart of the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership (LWDP), an initiative supported by Lancashire County Council in partnership with over 1000 care providers. Over £3 million pounds has been made available for direct care related training and a new Human Resources training strategy has been started to help small and medium sized organisations address employment issues such as recruitment and retention of staff and carers. Provision of LancashirePlan, a bespoke Learning Management, Workforce Profiling and Funding Dissemination System is a vital part of the LWDP and all providers of care to older people, disabled people, mental health and children's services are being encouraged to sign up to its services. Care Provider members also have free access to a 24 hour Human Resource Help and Advice Line and a National on-line training resource.
