LANCASHIRE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP

Dear LWDP Members

I am writing to invite you to access *free training* for your employees.
We are a well established provider of accredited training based in Warton, Lancashire.

We have recently received ESF and LSC funding for a project called 'Experience Counts' which aims to equip *people over 50* years old with recognized *teaching/training qualifications*. This will allow those with experience to share their knowledge and skills with other members of the workforce. The initial qualification is known as PTLLS and is a level 3 or 4 award in preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector. This award is part of the new QTLS framework aimed at teaching the over 16's.

Candidates will be required to attend a *5 day course* (one day per week over 5 weeks normally) covering 30 taught hours. In addition they will also need to undertake 30 hours in study/development activities.

As part of the pre course selection course all candidates will be tested to ensure that they have literacy and numeracy skills at level 2

There is *no cost* to candidates or their employing organisation. If you are interested or have employees who are interested, then please contact me on 01772 679888.
Kind regards,
Martin McKenna-Evatt, Project Manager
