INDEPENDENT CHAIR - £15k pa, 2 days per month

The Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership (LWDP) was formed 6 years ago in response to a request from Lancashire County Council to enable the use of National Training Strategy Grants and Human Resource Development Grants within the Independent Social Care Sector in Lancashire.  The Board currently comprises of members who, broadly speaking, represent the different sectors which make up the independent care sector in partnership with the Local Authority.

The previous chair took the organisation through incorporation twelve months ago and we are now seeking a new chair who will lead the organisation through the next stage of development.

The role:

·         To build and lead the Board of Directors providing vision and direction in setting the strategy and priorities to deliver LWDP vision

·         Develop the profile of LWDP

·         Play a role in maintaining and developing relationships with a range of stakeholders

The Candidate:

·         Proven track record of Leadership with the strategic vision and capability to lead a high profile organisation

·         Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels

·         Knowledge of the social care and training arenas would be an advantage
