Important information re TSI funding for all Care Providers

As you know some of our funding comes from Skills for Care (SfC), this is Training Strategy Implementation (TSI) money and the rules for obtaining and distributing this money are set and controlled by SfC. Last year the criteria was that the money would only be available to organisations which had completed their National Minimum Data Set (NMDS) organisational return.

This year in a late addition to the contract we have now been informed that the grant will only be available to organisations which completed their information last year and have gone into that information this year and updated it, as well as to new organisations who complete the information this year.

If you are one of these organisations please can I ask that you do this in order that we can submit the relevant number of units for approval in order to meet our contract milestones. If you need any help or assistance please contact Jack Moorehead on 01772 761855 or email her on jackmoorehead@lwdp.org.uk

I apologise for this apparent short notice but as I have explained this was a late addition to the original contract issued by SfC.

Regards

Dymph Knowles

Funding Deadline

Last year (2007/08) we enabled people to obtain an extension to the time they were permitted to submit evidence to obtain payment this was because it was felt that we had not given enough notice of the cut off date. This year 2008/09 the final date for submitting evidence to obtain payment will be 31st March 2009 there will be no extension period, any claims not submitted by this time will need to be reapplied for in 2009/10/
